Terms of service

By accessing or using legesis you agree to these Terms of Service. If you are using legesis on behalf of an organization you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

legesis provides an electronic signature platform — document upload, signer coordination, compliant e-signatures, tamper-evident audit trails, and developer APIs. The service is delivered as a hosted application and, optionally, as self-hosted deployments for Enterprise customers.

You are responsible for the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account. Notify us immediately at security@legesis.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

You agree not to:

• Use the service for unlawful purposes
• Forge signatures or misrepresent signer identity
• Attempt to compromise the security or integrity of the platform
• Scrape, reverse-engineer, or resell the service without authorization
• Upload malware or content that violates third-party rights

E-signatures collected through legesis are designed to meet eIDAS (EU), ESIGN (US), and UETA requirements. You remain responsible for confirming that electronic signatures are appropriate and legally sufficient for your specific use case and jurisdiction.

Paid plans are billed in advance monthly or annually. Fees are non-refundable except as required by law or described in our refund policy. We may change pricing with at least 30 days’ notice for the following billing cycle.

You retain all rights to the documents you upload. legesis makes no claim of ownership over your content and processes it solely to provide the service. The legesis software, brand marks, and documentation remain our property.

Our handling of your data is governed by the Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. Enterprise customers may execute a separate Data Processing Agreement.

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. Upon termination your right to use the service ends immediately. We will retain your account data for 30 days to allow for export, after which it is permanently deleted.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, legesis is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total aggregate liability is limited to the fees paid by you in the twelve months preceding the claim.

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which legesis is incorporated, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
